Derila Fit Guide
Use the nose-to-chest test to check fit: your nose should align with the center of your chest in your sleep position.
The Derila suits side and back sleepers well; stomach sleepers should think twice given the fixed 13cm height.
The nose-to-chest test
Lying in your primary sleep position, your nose should roughly align with the center of your chest. If it tilts upward, your pillow is too high; if it tilts downward, too low. This is the quickest sanity check once your Derila arrives.
Match loft to your frame
Broad-shouldered side sleepers generally need a higher loft (roughly 4–6 inches) to keep the head from tilting toward the mattress. Smaller or narrower frames often find a mid-loft more comfortable. At 5.1 inches, the Derila sits toward the higher end of this range.
Consider your mattress
A soft mattress lets your body sink deeper, requiring less pillow height. A firmer mattress keeps you higher on top, requiring a taller, more structured pillow like the Derila to properly bridge the distance to your shoulder.
Position-by-position breakdown
Side Sleepers
The side wings fill the shoulder-to-ear gap directly — this is the position the design is most specifically built for.
Back Sleepers
The central cradle supports the neck curve well, helping maintain a neutral spine position.
Stomach Sleepers
The fixed 13cm height can force the neck into an unnatural upward arch, potentially causing strain rather than relief.
